It's not really that surprising that they're shutting EN down, but still hurts to see anyway. To be honest, it's very obvious that the EN playerbase is shrinking, especially when you look at the participation in events. I happened to be chatting with my friend yesterday morning about how I think SL would be closing down soon and then the announcement hit a few hours later. This is why this kind of game requires internet to play. Player accounts and inventories, as well as card and event data, are associated with the server they're on.But the app looks and feels the same because the app didn't change, only the server it connects to did.Now it has changed to point to "japaneseserver" (example name).The server for SIF English app used to point to "globalserver" (example name).Any actual game content is downloaded from the server.The client has basic features like menu and UI elements.You download the client from the app store.This is an oversimplification but essentially: All that changed is what server the game client actually connects to over the internet, which changed from a separate one for English speaking players, to the onr Japanese players were always using. The English-speaking countries' app stores have the English-language client app.
It may take a while, but we intend to repair all pages as soon as we can.The difference is quite literally which server on the internet that your local game client connects to. We apologize profusely for this and are attempting to figure out the best way to return this wiki to its former state. This can be as small as a tab being out of place or as large as nearly the entirety of a page being broken. As many of you may have noticed, all fandom/wiki pages- both ours and many others, have been migrated to a new software which resulted in most if not all pages now showing some form of error.
